Vetmedin Oral Solution is recommended for dogs diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM). Directions:
Vetmedin® Solution should be administered directly in the mouth at a total daily dose of 0.23 mg/lb (0.5 mg/kg) body weight. Do not mix into food. The total daily dose should be divided into two equal portions given approximately 12 hours apart (morning and evening). The syringe is calibrated to deliver the correct dose based on the dog's weight. Each dose should be rounded up to the nearest 1 lb. increment.
Note: Do NOT shake the bottle before or after use to avoid foaming.
Storage Instructions:
Store at room temperature at or below 77°F (25°C). Short-term exposure to temperatures up to 86°F (30°C) is acceptable. Once opened, use within 8 weeks. Keep Vetmedin Solution in a secure location out of reach of pets to prevent accidental ingestion or overdose.
